The blog for the Summer 2008 Rwanda Team. We will post thoughts, ideas, videos, and funny things that happen while we are in Rwanda from August 3-20.
We had a nice dinner in Nairobi at Carnivores. We talked and debriefed about the amazing time we had in Rwanda. We got on the plane shortly after these pictures were taken to head for home. Nairobi to London; London to Washington DC; Washington DC to Portland!

It was so much fun to have this party for the sponsor children.  For some of the kids, it was their first time to have cake.  It was a privileged to throw a party in their honor! We also got to do the same thing in Kigali with KGL sponsor children. We had an amazing time at both parties!!

I guess you should probably know who is on this team! Barb Brooks is also an amazing part of this team but did not get her fight pose. I think she planned that one!!

We had a blast teaching kids how to do art. From self-portraits to finger-painting the kids enjoyed themselves a ton.

Just a little glimpse into our market day! Our sponsor kids got spoiled as we bought them new shoes, new clothes and whatever else they needed!  It was a great honor to be able to love on them in this tangible way.
