Spending time with the Kigali Sponsored Children was one of the highlights of the trip so far!
Today we had a quiet morning at the guest house. A great chance to debrief a lot of the things we have seen in the past couple of days, especially the street kids and the genocide sites. It was a time to just talk about what we had seen and have some time to pray about it.
In the afternoon, the ladies went to a women’s conference at the Dream Center. It is only the second week in the new church so it was an exciting time. We found out that the Rwandans have the lock down on energetic worship! To see hundreds of women dancing, singing, praying, and just praising God was beautiful. Suzy shared her testimony with the group, she did an amazing job and had the ladies saying “Amen!” and “Halleiluah!” It was amazing to just stand in the midst of it all and experience the sounds and sights of the women worshipping God.
Tomorrow we get to spend the morning with the sponsored kids from Kigali. After lunch, we’ll head back to the Dream Center for Day 2 of the women’s conference. Pam and Karen will be sharing their stories and there will be much more singing and dancing to be done.

We had the amazing opportunity to spend time with the street kids program today! It was so fun to see the team love on these children that are longing for attention and love. God was with us as we were with them! Thanks for praying!! The team really appreciates it and feels your prayers.
4 of the 5 bags arrived
Good news!! We received four of the five bags that were lost on Kenya Airways. The other great news is that everyone recieved their personal bag! So no more sharing boxers and socks for one of our male teammates!!! We are having a great time and look forward to keeping you all updated.
Tomorrow night the Africa New Life Ministries Women Conference will begin. All of the ladies will be involved one way or another in the conference so begin to pray for them!!
Our day in the capital city of Rwanda. This is were we are staying for the duration of the trip. Kigali is a city of one million people! We also went to the Kigali Memorial which is a memorial of the 1994 genocide where one million people were killed in about 100 days. Thanks for your continued prayers and comments. Keep them coming!
We are here!!
We landed today at about 8:30am Rwandan time which was 11:30pm last night for you in Oregon. We got to the guest house after getting everthing through customs without one question. The only hiccup so far is that the airlines lost 5 bags somewhere between Portland and Kigali. Pray that they get back to us quickly. Two of the bags are personal bags so a couple of our team will be living out of their carry-ons until they show up.
We are excited to get out tomorrow and more fully understand what went on in Rwanda during the 1994 geneocide! We wil go to the Kigali Memorial and then out to a church genocide site. They both will be very sobering.
Here is an update on our day in London…we are exhausted and are ready to sleep on the plane from London to Nairobi, Kenya.
